Battery Monitoring
Product overview
Overcharge/over-discharge monitoring, temperature detection and cell balance control, etc. can be customized according to the application.
A BMS (Battery Management System) is constructed by arranging a BMU for each battery module and communicating with and controlling the CMU that monitors the battery cells.
Utilizing our experience in commercial aircraft, we provide BMS for use in unmanned aerial vehicles and other aircraft.
Features
- It enables communication and hierarchical control between the BMU and CMU and monitors the battery cells in units of hundreds to thousands.
- Battery Management Unit (BMU): Serves as the brain of the module and communicates with the host controller.
- Cell Management Unit (CMU): Detects cell voltage and electrode temperature, etc. and transmits it to the BMU.
Product overview
A BMU is a device that constantly monitors the status of lithium-ion batteries installed in aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles, etc. to prevent overcharge, over-discharge, and temperature abnormalities.
Equipped with cell balancing and tracking capabilities, it maintains battery safety and helps extend battery life.
It is installed in all B787 aircraft and is useful not only in aviation but also in various other fields such as land, sea and underwater.
